At last I find myself in front of a computer after the hundred and fifty thousand chores on my list I just completed. It has been an eternity of a summer and after the heat and non-stop craziness that was moving, yard work, projects and getting my business set up in the last few months, I can honestly say that I am ready for the year to be over.
There have been a few great things about this summer; like our 2-week trip to Scotland and Ireland (blog coming soon), and I finally got my candle studio built (blog also coming soon). I am truly ready for bonfires, chilly weather, sweaters and pumpkin flavored drinks. Here in Virginia, we have a few more weeks of heat and I can’t think of anything better to say goodby to summertime than a fun makeover project and a sunset party.

This blog post is going to be short, but I’m going to include a few photos to entice you into clicking over to the Fusion Mineral Paint website so you can see the step-by-step guide on how finish a basic wood planting table for an outdoor bar. Ill include a supply list for you here as well! For now, take a look at the before shot:

I actually ordered this planting table off of Amazon for $139 dollars! It was extremely easy to put together and it had some protected storage underneath which was exactly what I was looking for. I knew right away I wanted to paint this a fun color as a way to keep the warm memories of summer alive as the chilly months approach.

Doesn’t this planter look great as a party bar? I painted it in Fusion Mineral Paint’s “Brook” and I absolutely love how bright and fun this color is. It will also look beautiful through the cooler and wintery months.

So you’re probably wondering how Fusion holds up outdoors? Well it’s a 100% acrylic paint which means it is entirely waterproof! I just used hemp oil as a top coat over it for more UV protection against fading and to provide an additional waterproof barrier.

And now to see the entire process STEP-BY-STEP, hop on over to the Fusion Mineral Paint Blog and see the entire transformation from start to finish!
