This was originally my first apartment table. It was given to me as a gift following my return from my first deployment when I was a poor, young girl in her twenties surviving off macaroni and cheese and ramen. So this table has a special place in my heart, but with my growing family, we needed something bigger. So I decided to give it a fun makeover in the hopes another young woman (hopefully not broke and addicted to junk food) could benefit from it’s use.

I painted the base using the same color I used on our buffet and my favorite turquoise, “Bali Bliss” by Behr. I also antiqued it with General Finishes “Pitch Black” Glaze and sealed it with a matte poly.
The top was veneer, so we stripped the original stain and reapplies 2 coats of General Finishes “Java” Gel stain.
I ended up just recovering the seats with this cute grey and turquoise Paisley print. It’s definitely very feminine, but I love the way it turned out.
