I have to be honest about something. Art deco design does not get the furniture fame it deserves. I have always said that art deco furniture is the most underrated style in furniture design because it has its own unique characteristics and once you see it you know it. With its sleek lines and waterfall edges, the style is definitely unique but also specific. There isn’t a huge market for art deco style furniture which is why so many of these pieces end up on the curb or given away for free. Well I’m here to show you the art deco is EVERY bit as glamorous as the shabby chic, farmhouse and boho styles.

This blog post is going to be short, but I’m going to include a few photos to entice you into clicking over to the Fusion Mineral Paint website so you can see the step-by-step guide on how to get a glam look with art deco furniture. Ill include a supply list for you here as well! For now, take a look at the before shot:
Before I show you the after photo, keep in mind all the proper prep work was done to make sure this old gal was ready for her debut. That means lots of sanding, some veneer repair, glue, more sanding, and did I mention sanding? Deco pieces are usually veneer so all the sanding should be done by hand.
And now…the showstopper revealed!
Ok, y’all see what I’m talking about right? Art Deco has an extremely glamorous look and paired with luxury hardware and a faux fur bench you know this looks like a flashback to the Great Gatsby era.
You just HAVE to see the entire transformation from start to finish! I’m going to post the link to the blog on the FUSION site below, so please click on over to see it! And the supply list for a similar look is below!
